Cambodia Casinos

There is a fascinating history to the Cambodia casinos that lie just across the border from neighboring Thailand, where casino wagering is not legal. Eight casinos are established in a relatively small location in the metropolis of Poipet in Cambodia. This band of Cambodia gambling halls is in a prime location, a 3 to 4 hour drive from Bangkok and Macao, the two biggest gambling locations in Asia. Cambodia gambling dens do a thriving business with Thai workers and tourists from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a couple of Westerners. The astonishing capital acquired from the gambling dens ranges from seven and a half million dollars to over twelve and a half million dollars, and there are a few limitations requirements for casino ownership. Ownership is presumed to be largely Thai; still, investment sources are vague. The borders are ceremoniously open from 09:00 to 1700, and even though visas are apparently necessary to pass, there are ways around this, as is accurate of most borders.
The 1st Cambodia gambling dens opened in Phnom Penh in the mid nineties, but were required to close in 1998, leaving just 1 casino in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a stationary bateau gambling hall, contains one hundred and fifty one armed bandits and 60 table games. The Naga river boat never closes with 42 tables of mini-punto banco, 4 tables of chemin de fer, ten of roulette, 2 of Caribbean Stud Poker, and a single table each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.
The 1st casino in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in the late nineties and the Golden Crown quickly opened. There are 150 slots and 5 tables at the Golden Crown and one hundred and four slots and sixty eight tables at the Holiday Palace. The newer Holiday Palace Casino and Resort features three hundred slot machine games and seventy tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slots and ninety six table games, including 87 baccarat banque (the most beloved game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. In addition, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 slots and 66 of the familiar tables, as well as a single table of Casino Stud Poker. Another one of the 8 casinos in Poipet, also in a hotel, is the Princess Casino with one hundred and sixty six slot machines and ninety seven casino games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in an international vacation and hotel building that contains a number of comforts in addition to the gambling den, which has ten thousand square feet of one hundred and thirty one armed bandits and eighty eight table games.
