Learning From My Gambling Failures

First to clarify the reason I wrote this article. I have been wagering on the net or at land-based betting houses for a great many years. I have learned, the addiction can grab a hold of you and you won’t even notice it until you are bankrupt. Particularly if you are on a winning run. I have gone through countless tens of thousands of dollars in only a tiny amount of time and still on occasion, I will go too far. It appears you’re just having fun until you start to track your squanderings and the anguish sets in, and then you keep telling yourself "I can get it back" repeatedly. It never works. Then you feel sick in your stomach and the harder you try the faster you lose.

When you see that you’re up, remain on the UP! When you begin to be beaten, don’t say to yourself, "well perhaps one more" and again and again, believe me, this concept hardly ever operates. Say you are betting on slot games, have a bankroll set to the side prior to starting your action. DO NOT go over that limit, regardless how tempting. If you happen to succeed, put that in a separate pot. Don’t risk your successes no matter what. As soon as you have gambled through your primary set limit, call it a day. Leave, whether it is on the internet or at a physical casino, do not stick around. Always keep in mind, there is going to be a different day, another time.

Remember, betting should be exciting not backbreaking, nauseating work! If you aren’t having fun yourself, you do not belong there. If youcannot manage the loss, do not even start.
